Abstract

This essay critically explores women's and marginalized sexualities' experiences of pleasure through patriarchal norms, social taboos, and sexuality education practices. It focuses on women’s journeys of bodily awareness, the invisibility of the clitoris, orgasm inequality, and the dominance of heteronormative perspectives. The essay argues that access to pleasure is not a privilege but a matter of justice. It treats claiming one’s body and pleasure not merely as personal acts but as political statements.
