Abstract

The aim of the study was to examine theses published in the field of migration and health. Theses published in the field of migration and health were scanned from the Ulakbim thesis scanning network. The scan was performed on 16.08.2024. The scan was performed from the "Advanced Search" tab. "All" was selected for the field to be searched. "Only as written" was selected for the search type. No group selection was made. A total of 1439 theses were reached. After removing duplicate theses, the remaining number of theses was 978. After removing irrelevant theses, the remaining number of theses was 259. 194 of the theses were master's (74.9%), 36 were doctoral (13.9%), and 29 were medical specialization (11.2%) theses. The language of 229 of the theses was Turkish (88.4%), 28 were English (10.8%), and 2 were German (0.8%). The first thesis was published in 1979. The majority of theses were published between 2018 and 2024, with the largest number of theses published in 2023, 2019, 2022, 2021 and 2020, respectively. The largest number of theses were published in the following subjects: sociology, public health, nursing, social work and psychology, public administration, international relations, management of health institutions, political sciences, family medicine, labor economics and industrial relations, child health and diseases, business, nutrition and dietetics, law, gynecology and obstetrics, and psychiatry.
