Abstract

The 14th issue of SoSa Bulletin is full of thought-provoking articles on human beings, society and well-being in the renewing spirit of spring. Temmuz Gönç Şavran, Fatma Levent and Betül Durmaz Yurt discuss the problem of access to medicine for migrants living in Turkey in the context of social justice and human dignity. Sevde Sancar shows that sexual violence against women in Turkey has decreased over time with the Turkey Demographic and Health Survey data and draws attention to the importance of education and economic independence. Ayşe Rümeysa Doğruyol's research examines contraceptive tendencies among women with risky fertility behavior. Aylin Leblebici Öztürk questions the relationship between photography and life from a philosophical perspective. In a note from the field, Ecenur Yağcı and Ömer Ezin report on an interview with imams in the fight against child marriage.  In a book-film analysis, Bülent Kılıç evaluates “A Season in Hakkâri”. While the visual designs were prepared by Salih Keskin with the support of artificial intelligence, Fatih Balkan's photograph adorns the cover of the issue. Oğuz Dicle contributes with his cartoons and Nuray Özgülnar with her photographs.
